The Osprey that caught the fish – Slideshow
The osprey were very active. They recently returned to the area and are working on their nests and looking for food. We saw at least 4 pair on the float today. The photos begin with the osprey hunting for fish, hovering, then diving in the water, emerging, and finally flying down river.

- A windy day on the Missouri River in early MayYou can see the wind moving the water! Nice brown trout - yes, it was released ASAP Jack spent a few days on the Missouri River with his daughter and two grandsons. The young boys were dressed warm enough and that is good. Very neat – my children and I have been watching a pair of osprey that are nesting near us as well. They are very interesting birds to watch.
